Jerry Bostelman founded Vaco in 2002 with a simple idea in mind: to create a place where the talented malcontents of the world could be free to do work they love, where smart companies could connect with exceptional humans, and where people would work hard, have fun, and never want to leave. Jerry began his career serving six years in the Marine Corps Reserves, where he was meritoriously promoted twice, served a five month active tour of duty in the first Gulf War, and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant (E-5). He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. He is an active supporter of Safe Haven Family Shelter and also an active Board member of the Boys & Girls Club of Middle Tennessee. He is honored to have been recognized through the years by the business community, including Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award for the Southeast region and the Williamson County Impact Awards. Jerry lives in the Nashville area with his wife, Angela and their three sons.
